Recently, our Senior Field Coordinator, Emmanuel Bita, was tasked to oversee a research project in Somaliland. His team on the ground was able to obtain all deliverables that our Client required although there were some technical challenges due to geography. However, everything turned out well.
Here are some of Emmanuel’s thoughts from his time on this project:
“Somaliland is a very peaceful region that is vibrant but also very safe. The Internet works very well, so people there are able to conduct online jobs.
The majority of people here can speak English. They are conversant in English so any foreigner won’t have any issues with language or communications.
For Internet, we used 4G mobile services from SomTel which is the most popular mobile telecom provider in the area.”
